Word from the Pastor
This week we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit. Last week we celebrated Ascension Sunday. Our Lord went back to Heaven to be seated as our High Priest and King beside The Father. Pentecost is 50 days after The Days of Unleavened Bread, we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit. We know about The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit by revelation from The Holy Spirit. He comes to us and ushers in truth and understanding, and He is the bridge to the Father/Son relationship. The Holy Spirit is our counsellor and downpayment until we are changed and enter into glory. Our kids will be reading the Pentecost story from Acts. This dramatic reading is from the Bedtime Bible Stories we gifted them at Christmas.
Join us for Sunday Worship, Communion and Lunch afterwards.

Word from the Pastor
This week we celebrate Ascension Sunday. As we pause this week and listen to Lowell’s sermon, we can reflect on the amazing reality of our risen Lord. Seated, as King and our High Priest interceding daily, moment by moment forever. His work on earth was accomplished, He lived, died, rose again, and ascended to the Father. This gives us incredible boldness to share His gospel of hope, and peace. My prayer for us this week is that we reflect, just how precious our lives are within the world, beacons of light to our surroundings, always pointing to our risen and ascended Lord.
See you this Sunday for Ascension Sunday Worship and lunch afterwards.

This week we celebrate Mother’s Day. What a wonderful day to stop and remember all the wonderful things that moms do. We hope and pray every mom will have a blessed day. We have a few treats for our dear ladies on Sunday. The RCL’s theme this week is the Holy Spirit. Jesus’ great promise that He pointed towards. We read in John’s gospel. “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever. This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him because he abides with you, and he will be in you.” The concept of advocate, counsellor, helper or Paraclete to abide with us forever is truly a gift. Couple that with His constant leading us into truth is simply amazing and who wouldn’t want that?
Join us this Sunday for a special Mother's Day Worship Service, Communion followed by lunch afterwards.

This week Pastor Bob will look at Connecting with God – How Does That Work? I’m reminded when my mom taught me to pray as a young boy, she said, “You can call on Him at anytime and you don’t have to wait in line.” When I got older and email was all the craze, I thought, praying is like email, because you don’t see it but your message travels through wires, and satellites and ends up delivered. Then we were able to text message with our phones, and that was even more amazing, your messages went through the air and magically appeared on someone else’s phone. But alas, it wasn’t perfect, some messages didn't get delivered, and some emails bounced or failed. Not so with prayer and our communication with God. No devices are needed and no power is needed and it’s instant! Connecting with other humans is truly an amazing technological achievement, but still pales in comparison to our instant access to the Holy of Holies and our loving Father.
